Come tour the University of Louisville (UofL), a nationally ranked public research university. Founded in 1798, the University of Louisville is one of the first public universities in the United States to be owned by a city. UofL is a Carnegie Foundation Research 1 university and is known for its life-changing research. UofL faculty conducted the first successful artificial heart implantation and the first successful hand transplant in the United States. The University is home to 22,000+ student population in addition to 6,500+ faculty, staff and administrators.
On this 1-hour walking tour you will be provided a glimpse into our beautiful campus with a first-hand perspective from a student tour guide. The tour will provide a brief look at iconic buildings from the late 1800’s to present day including The Thinker statue created by Auguste Rodin. In addition, we will visit a 30-year-old parking garage that has been updated to fixed LPR technology and a mobile payment solution.
