Melissa Yates, CAPP
Senior Customer Experience Manager, FLASH
A 17-year industry veteran, Melissa served as Access and Parking Manager for the City of Boulder providing leadership and management for daily operations, strategic planning, and policy guidance. She managed both on- and off-street municipal parking programs and assisted with the execution and administration of mixed-use development implementation. Her experience in small and large university parking and mobility environments provides attendees with a wealth of operations and management experience.
Marlene Cramer, CAPP, LEED GA
Director of Transportation and Parking Services, California Polytechnic State University
Marlene led the development and growth of Cal Poly’s parking program. Under her leadership, the award-winning operation focuses on strategic planning and comprehensive and sustainable policies that align with department and university goals. She has led the implementation of numerous technology and organizational systems, enhancing the patron experience throughout the campus. Marlene has served as President of the California Mobility and Parking Association (CMPA) and Chairperson of the California State University Parking Directors group. As an instructor, Marlene will draw on more than 20 years of valuable industry expertise and education across all aspects of parking and transportation operations.
Lisa Copeland, CAPP
Business Operations Manager, Old Dominion University
Lisa Copeland joined ODU’s Transportation & Parking Services team in 2020 as Business Operations Manager. Lisa manages a $5.5-million annual operating budget for the university. Previously Lisa managed City of Norfolk’s Division of Parking, leading their team and managing a $20-million budget. In this role she developed a Customer Service Center for the city, bringing together diverse parking functions and operations under a single division. Lisa will share her expertise in management and leadership developed over her 18+ years in the industry.
