COVID-19 Exhibitor Update
The IPMI Conference & Expo is the largest gathering of parking, transportation, and mobility professionals under one roof in the U.S., annually. IPMI takes pride in our solid reputation for delivering an event with the highest level of education, powerful networking opportunities and the largest display of cutting-edge technology and service providers – like your company.
We have never taken your company’s decision to participate and, more importantly, your financial investment, lightly. We realize when you invest in this event, you expect certain ROI which includes making connections with a significant group of qualified decision-makers.
During the last few weeks, much like many of you, we have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 crisis to ensure we are taking every precaution to look after your investment as it relates to the IPMI 2020 Conference & Expo. Just three weeks ago, our registration numbers were tracking well ahead of our record-breaking cities like Las Vegas and New Orleans – it was lining up to be one of the most successful shows ever. But as things have evolved, and key deadlines for exhibitors/sponsors were approaching, we have become increasingly more concerned about making a decision that is in the best interest of our attendees but more specifically, our exhibitors.
As of today, the IPMI Board of Directors and staff have made the decision in light of the current global crisis to pivot the physical IPMI Conference & Expo to a virtual event. I wanted to reach out to you personally to let you know we are notifying all attendees and registrants today and assure you that your investment and trust in IPMI is one of the factors involved in making this difficult decision. With the uncertainty of the future, we did not want to continue moving forward without carefully considering the investment our exhibitors make to participate.
I can imagine you will have questions and concerns. Rest assured, IPMI is ready to pivot into action and deliver education and connect you with decision-makers. We are currently finalizing the IPMI Virtual Parking & Mobility Conference & Expo, tentatively scheduled June 1-2, 2020. In the coming days and weeks, we will be in touch with you to provide you with options for participating in the virtual event (and we’re talking about some cutting-edge tech like the ability to engage live with participants) as an exhibitor and/or sponsor, or to discuss your refund options. We will also be providing regular updates here.
We have a lot of work to do to untangle all the commitments that go with putting on such a large conference. Much of the planning for this event has been happening for years. We appreciate your patience in advance as we finalize the details. In the meantime, please remember to cancel any travel arrangements you have made, such as hotels and airline reservations.
