Attendees will learn about a variety of essential topics that affect parking and mobility.  The course will address the management of facility maintenance and repairs and the impact of deferred maintenance. Attendees will focus on how to identify appropriate stakeholders as well as emerging opportunities for cyber criminals, and how to protect organizations and close the gap when vulnerabilities and security threats are identified. Participants will explore the means and methods to manage the curb effectively, including new technology that offers additional advantages to maximize this essential resource.  

Come prepared to think differently about how the industry is changing, available resources, and using technology to your advantage. 

This multi-day course, exclusively offered at the 2020 IPMI Conference & Expo, aligns with the CAPP Job Analysis; specifically, Domain I: General Management, Domain II: Project Management, Domain IV: Operations Management, and Domain VI: Analysis and Application of Technology. 

Objectives:
1. Develop an understanding of typical deterioration in parking facilities and the types, schedule, and cost of repairs and maintenance as well as budgeting and the impact of deferred maintenance.
2. Discuss how, why, and where parking technology is vulnerable to cyber-attacks and criminals and recognize the important compliance landscape with credit cards and identity information.
3. Identify and prioritize critical business services for emergency response and continuity of operations planning.
4. Analyze smart city benefits and how parking and mobility play a part and explore emerging and disruptive technology and how it can impact cities.
