Accessibility
It is the policy of IPMI to hold meetings, conferences and other professional events where barriers of any type do not exclude people from attending or participating.
Find information pertaining to access at the 2019 IPMI Conference and Expo, June 9-12 in Anaheim, California below.
Use of Personal Assistant
Should you require an aide or personal assistant to help navigate the IPMI Conference and Expo, IPMI will register your aide as a complimentary guest. Please contact
conference@parking-mobility.org to register your personal aide (name, city and state is required for the badge). Personal aides may attend sessions and access the exhibit hall. If you need IPMI to arrange for an aide to help you navigate the meeting, a request must be submitted in advance outlining the specific type of assistance required. Email requests to
conference@parking-mobility.org or call 571.699.3011.
Mobility Constraints
Due to the size of the IPMI Conference and Expo, sessions are sometimes spread out and distances between sessions can be considerable. If you are a regular wheelchair user, you should bring your chair with you.
Scooter/Wheelchair Rentals
The city of Anaheim supports the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and endeavors to ensure that each facility, activity, benefit, program and service operated or funded by the City is fully accessible to, and useable by, people with disabilities in accordance with the ADA, as well as other federal, state and local access codes and disability rights laws. Please contact
Scootaround for more information on rentals.
Accessible Transportation and Housing
All ADA-designated hotel rooms in the official IPMI hotel block will be specifically set aside for individuals requesting them. Please contact the hotel directly for more information on ADA-designated rooms. Make hotel reservations as early as possible as there are a limited number of accessible rooms available at each property.
Food Allergies
IPMI is diligent about handling food allergies for all IPMI events. Onsite, all food is labeled by the facility to provide attendees with potential allergens. Upon registration for IPMI meetings, please make sure to answer the question about specific allergies so that the registration system can capture your responses and specific information.
IPMI's goal is to have a varied menu to appeal to the majority of attendees' dietary needs.
Please email
mjones@parking-mobility.org for more information or to ask specific questions about your allergy and/or special needs.
